Your woman, fiancee, girl-friend lie? Your Personal Truth Verifier is in!!!
Truster Is An On Your Desktop Computer Lie Detector That can Analyze the voice through:
* An In Person Live Conversation
* An In Person Recorded Conversation (Both Digital And Analog Recordings!)
* A Live Over The Telephone Conversation
* A Phone Recorded Conversation (Both Digital And Analog Recordings)
In all those instances, it will show you on screen whether the subject is lying, outsmarting you, exaggerating, or just not sure of the words he is telling you. In short, you will know if the subject is or has told you the truth.
Truster is a revolutionary new software product that interfaces with your PC or laptop computer for quick and reliable live and recorded truth verification. Anyone with a computer can use it. You will be in a position to detect deception nd verify the truth during one-on-one conversation or while talking on your home of office phone connected to your PC. You can also record conversations for later analysis.
Truster technology was originally developed for military use but now you can use the same technology they use to detect lying and deception. Truster is a computerized voice stress analysis software you can install on your computer.
Truster can be used with in person interviews, tape recorded analysis or over the telephone line.
TRUSTER FUNCTION
Sound Wave
Displays the subject's frequency as it is being inputted in real-time. A red frame around the sound wave window indicates that the subject is under general stress - that is, nervousness, expectancy or any similiar type of stress.
System Decision Window
Displays the system's decision on the screen: "Telling the Truth", "High Level of Excitement", "Confused", "Subject is not sure", "Exaggerating", "Inaccurate", or "False Statement."
Truth Bulbs
The truth bulbs have several functions:
1. When the system waits, all the bulbs flashing. If the bulbs are not flashing that means the signature code you typed in the registration screen was incorrect and you should perform the installation and registration again.
2. During the calibaration, the bulbs are turned on gradually, from both edges and towards the center, until the calibration is completed.
3. During a test, the bulb's color is either green for truth or red for inaccuracy. The level of inaccuracy is determined by the number of red bulbs, for example, one red bulb - a minor inaccuracy, five red bulbs - probably a lie.
Truth Stress Window
Displays the subject's truth stress.
SPJ & AVJ (Cognitive level indicator)
SPJ (Samples per Jump) - A pure value (unitless) expressing the presence of the relatively low frequencies in the analyzed sample. (The existing technology utilizes this value to characterize the cognitive level of the subject).
This variable indicates two situations: In medium values (110% - 170%) it indicates doubts in providing the answer, and in higher values (around 190%) it indicates that the subject is manipulating his or her voice, or that the subject is being aware of his or her voice. In any case, this is a situation that does not exist when the speaker tells the truth
and is sure of what is said.
The higher the SPJ values, the bigger the subjects emotional conflict, up to values around 190%, where the conflict turns into an attempt to manipulate the voice. It should be noted that there is no way to know the exact individual limit for each subject, and the value of 190% was determined following a series of tests. On the other hand, a factor such as hoarseness of the voice may have an unpredictable influence on this variable. The values for this variable are presented in a graph called SPJ.
AVJ (Average Jump) - A mathematical value expressing the average frequency in the range of flow frequencies (characterized by SPJ). The existing technology utilizes this value to examine the degree of thought invested in the spoken words.
This variable measures the amount of thinking the speaker puts into what is being said.
This index is not presented in a graph, but it is used for the process of characterizing the profile.
SPT (Emotional Level indicator)
SPT (Samples per Thorn) - A pure (unitless) expressing the presence of the relatively high frequencies in the analyzed sample. (The existing technology utilizes this value to characterize the emotional level of the subject).
This variable indicates mainly the level of excitement. Values over 100% indicate a growing excitement level. SPT is the main raw index for calculating the excitement level.
In principle, a higher value for this variable indicates a higher level of excitement. The "Excitement" graph displays the system's weighted decision concerning the subject's excitement.
Global Stress - (JQ)
Indicates mainly the subjects global stress. A higher value indicates a higher level of
stress for the subject. The processed results for this variable are presented in the "Global Stress" graph.
Excitement Graph
Displays the level of the subject's excitement.
Calibration Button
During the calibration stage, the system will perform several continuous examinations of different speech segments defined as the truth. Values are collected into a table for concluding the calibration stage and constructing a neutral speech pattern.
While taking into considering the basic assumption that each and every test subject is
psychologically unique and different, the system will set an average value for each of the sound wave parameters upon the completion of the calibration stage. An additional value expressing the standard deviation from this average and an additional value that - with the completion of the analysis proccess - will ultimately be used to determine the degree of reliability of such variables.
Show Profile Button
When you are through testing the subject, this button is used to review and save the subject's session in the form of a report. See "Reports" below for more information.
Show Reports Button
Activates the reports display button. Where you can read over and evaluate old summaries.
AN INDEPTH LOOK AT TRUSTER SOFTWARE
1. Introduction
The Truster technology is the first of it's kind. The technology allows us to analyze the human voice through a telephone, television, audio tape or microphone. We can do all these in real time and without the other person being aware of the test.
The technology is based on the self judgement people have and the guilt knowledge they are developing when they lie. The Truster is measuring cognitive messages that are transferred through the voice. Those messages are the result of our own self-criticism and we can not control them.
When we measure and calculate the results we can also identify hesitation, exaggeration, cynicism, or avoiding. We can also scan extreme excitement, which most of the times is a sign of a traumatic event. We can also tell the amount of stress that the person is having during the conversation.
2. The Truster System/Psychological Structure
The Psychological Structure of a Lie During Free Conversation, and the System Messages - It is important to understand the psychological structure of stress and lies during a conversation. In contrast with other test situations (such as a police
investigation), a test during a free conversation has a guiding psychological structure that is true for most cases.
In a free conversation, without a predefined purpose, the subject is unable to tell in advance where the conversation is leading. In addition, the subject will tell the truth most of the time - and will lie only a few times, if he or she lies at all.
Within this psychological structure, the need to lie will rise as a surprise and will usually be expressed in a sharp, remarkable and immediate manner. By the same token, the stress will also disappear very quickly. In these cases, the system will recognize the lie or the exaggeration, and it will respond with the diagnosis "False statement" for a lie, or "Inaccuracy" for an exaggeration. Similarly, the diagnosis "Subject is not sure" indicates that the system recognized uncertainty or confusion in the speaker's voice; the diagnosis "Avoidance \ voice manipulation" indicates that the subject is consciously manipulating his or her voice (whether he or she is trying to sound credible, or attempting to avoid a stressful question); the diagnosis "Excitement" and the diagnosis "High excitement" indicate that the subject's excitement level is above his or her excitement during the calibration process, that is, the subject is now more excited as he or she speaks than at the beginning of the conversation; the diagnosis "Extreme excitement" indicates that the subject had a high emotional stress while speaking. (this does not mean that the subject was lying.) ; the diagnosis "Outsmart" indicates that the subject is not at ease with the things he or she is saying, that is, the subject is being cynical. Alternatively, the message
can indicate an attempt to conceal a lie by using cynicism and avoid giving a straight answer. The diagnosis can also appear when the subject is treating the conversation with condescension.
Most of the time, the diagnosis will be "Truth", indicating that the subject is not under any kind of stress. Another diagnosis produced by the system is a red frame that is turned on in the "Sound wave" window when the subject is under high general stress - that is, nervousness, expectancy or any similar type of stress.
3. Polygraph vs. the Truster
What is a Polygraph? - A polygraph is a system, which can detect a person's state of excitement, stress or emotional conflict according to pre-defined criteria. The polygraph performs several consecutive physical tests by connecting the subject to multiple sensors simultaneously. The tests include the subject's blood pressure, sweating, breathing rate, pulse etc.
The subject's consent is necessary for performing the test, and it is highly important to conduct the test in an agreeable, interruption-free setting. An inappropriate setting may influence the lie detector test and produce a deviation in its results. The test's degree of credibility is significantly influenced by the operator's level of skill and professional expertise.
The Speech Mechanism - When a person speaks, air is pushed from the lungs upward to the vocal cords. As a result, the vocal cords vibrate in a specific frequency, called the speaker's main leading frequency. The air keeps flowing upward to the mouth and goes through the tongue, teeth and lips, thereby creating the speech flow. When a person lies, the amount of blood in the vocal cords drops as a result of the stress. An involuntary interference of the nerves causes the vocal cords to produce a distorted sound wave.
The distortion is manifested by the production of a frequency level which is different from the one produced by the same person when telling the truth. In addition, a subject's voice can reveal many factors which are not detected in the traditional lie detector diagnosis, such as confusion, excitement, embarrassment, physical pain, and more.
